My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stevie is such a sweet, loving dog! *He was born sometime in 2007 (he didn't come with a birthdate) He has really come out of his shell, and loves to snuggle. He likes all of the other dogs in his foster home, unless one of them startles him while he is sleeping, and then he grumbles at them to let them know he’s there. Stevie is a quick learner; he is housebroken and has learned the command wait so he will wait for his foster parent to open the door before he runs into it. He gets scared when it is dark and windy outside, and will run back into the house. He is crate trained. Stevie is gentle when taking treats, and is good with children that are gentle with dogs. Stevie does not think his impaired vision is a handicap at all, and he hopes you do not either!

Stevie was left at a shelter in rural Arkansas, and the shelter manager contacted CCDR to take him in. He is a 15 lb black and tan dapple tweenie. He has cataracts, and cannot see out of one eye, but has partial vision in the other, so his chances of being adopted at the shelter were slim. Stevie is a sweet boy, and gets along with the other dogs in his foster home. He will growl at another dog a little if they startle him because of his poor vision, but is not aggressive at all. He learned his way around his foster home in only one day, so the vision does not seem to be a problem to him. He has learned to use the doggie door, and doesn't really like to go out in the cold (do you blame him?), but seems to do best outside if he goes out with his foster brothers & sisters. Stevie's adoption fee is $150. For more information about Stevie, please contact his CCDR representative listed below.
