If you are a true cat lover with room in your heart for a sweet, bereaved, beautiful kitty, please read on for Silly’s story.
Silly was absolutely cherished by her owner. Sadly, the 84 year old lady passed away very recently. Her son would love to keep Silly, but is unable to due to landlord restrictions. He made a promise to his mom to find a wonderful, loving home where this petite beauty will be just as cherished and treasured as before. Our organization’s mission and desire is to help him keep this promise.
Silly – or Silky Silly, which comes to my mind as I look at her lovely coat (I can actually imagine running my hands carefully through that colorful silky looking coat of hers) -- is a gorgeous, long-haired calico cat with a heart of gold. She is a unique and, oh, so lovely Persian/Ragdoll mix. She is a bit on the skittish side in new circumstances, but soon warms up and is a real lap cat.
Silly is perfectly okay being left to herself most of the time, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t want her human around since she enjoys being brushed and pampered. She sleeps on your lap while you are comfortably sitting in your recliner. She also likes being with you in bed, so hopefully you won’t mind having a little bed bug to keep you company. She loves to roll around and rub her back on a nice stiff carpet.
We are looking for a safe and calm forever home for Silly. She is not comfortable around very active kids,other cats, or dogs, so she needs to find someone who has no other pets and who can spend some quality time with her. Silly loves to sit in your lap while you watch TV. She's very affectionate – but, as most kitties are, on her own terms.
She is currently fostered by a young man who would keep her in a heartbeat if it weren’t for his resident female cat who doesn’t want the company of another cat – maybe a little kitty jealousy? When he came to pick up Silly to foster her, she immediately came up to him, rubbed herself against him, purred, and looked him in the eye. So this lovely girl sure knows how to connect with the right human. Let’s give her a chance to make that connection once more. Who wouldn’t want to have such an exquisite beauty around to grace their home?
