Health: H e came in HW+ and was treated and is now Negative. No obvious ongoing problems.

Personality: He came into Ft Worth animal services. . He has a beautiful, soft, charcoal coat with tan accents. He absolutely loves being with his person and will spend hours quietly in my lap. He tolerates other dogs, just doesn't much play with them, or with toys. He has some food aggression, so must be kept separate at feeding time, but will sit and "high five" for treats with the other dogs. Does fairly well on leash. He does have separation anxiety and is a barker when away from you. Will do well with house manners for several days, then mark again. I really believe with some training and more regular walking, he will be a great dog and loving addition to the right home.

Origin:  Stray from Fort Worth Animal Services

About Recycled Poms and Schipperkes

About Our Rescue Group...

We began in 1998, and have continued to rescue purebred dogs previously used as breeders in Puppy Mills, dogs surrendered by their owners, lost and abandoned dogs on death row at local shelters and a few dogs found roaming the streets. We house, feed, rehabilitate, socialize, seek medical attention for, spay or neuter each dog rescued, but mostly, we give them love.

Please join our cause! We can't do it alone.

We are run entirely by volunteers who give of their time to help find these precious pups their forever homes! Please consider joining us in our fight to find "furever homes" for these pups! We can always use volunteers, FOSTER HOMES!!!!, and donations, including quality dog food, healthy treats (like BULLY STICKS!) belly bands for boy dogs, exercise pens, pee pads, collars, leashes, and Dog shampoo

Come Meet Our Pets...

We would love to see you on the

3rd Saturday of each month - 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM

Also, feel free to email us about a prospective pet, and we will put you in touch with their foster home.

Our Adoption Process...

Adopting one of our dogs requires that you fill out an adoption application, have your references checked, and let us visit your home.

The required minimum adoption donation is $250. That amount covers the spay/neuter, annual vaccinations, heartworm testing, and one month of heart worm preventative.

We spend about $300.00 just to treat the pommies that are heartworm positive. We have invested more than $1000.00 in several of our pommies--treating them and kenneling them. Kenneling cost $16 a day per dog. We need foster homes!
