Just two weeks before her five babies were born, a quick-thinking volunteer scooped up this very small and very pregnant cat who they found wandering down a dirt road. On 4/14/16, Katie Bean - born only 10 months (6/4/15) before her babies - gave birth to five teensy kittens. What a joy it was to watch her care for them. She was one of the sweetest moms we have ever fostered, and with plenty of food, water, love, medical care and a very safe place to snuggle with them, they all blossomed into adorable kittens. Katie was ever watchful and taught them to eat kitten food, use the litter, and play and pounce and jump! Now it’s Katie’s turn. She is happy to be free of constant mom duties and enjoys sleeping in the sun in the catio and watching the chipmunks and birds. The kids still consult her now and then and Katie listens carefully and will arbitrate, if necessary. She is a lovely, small, and very pretty cat.A cat can live 12-18+ years if cared for properly. Be sure you are able to care for it for its lifetime.
