found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Although we make the best guess on the breed and size of our dogs, because they come from shelters or are strays, we can never be completely certain of the genetic makeup of the dog. Breed and weight at maturity are only guesses. All we can tell you for sure is that they are 100% RESCUED! If an animal is still posted for adoption, he/she is still available. If you see this this post, she is available for adoption so there is no need to email us for availability.
Meet Jersey, he was born around 3-26-2016. He is super sweet, friendly, social, and energetic. Our best guess is he will grow to be a medium size dog between 40-60 pounds. We don't know who dad was, mom is about 50 pounds and looks like a lab/boxer/shepherd. Her name is Lacy and she is currently up for adoption with our rescue also looking for a mom, but we really aren't sure of her mix either and are just guessing. Slater gets along with the other dogs in the foster home, but will chase kitties...we feel more so to play. He is a puppy so he will need a family who has time to continue with house training. if you are gone all day at work, a puppy isn't the right match. It wouldn't be fair to crate a young puppy all day long. A quick 30 minute break in the afternoon isn't enough out of crate time during the day for a puppy.
Jersey is being foster with his other siblings Juno and Slater in a Naperville foster home, which is where you would go to meet her with a submitted and approved adoption application which can be found on under the forms tab on our website at angelsonwheels.org.
Jersey would be a great fit in any home. He's fearless. Nothing affects him and he trucks on. He would be a good match with a family with children as we feel he would be able to keep up all that goes along with small children like the fast movements, loud noises, cries, and energy.
Adoption applications can be found on our website at angelsonwheels.org Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but is required prior to making arrangements for a meet and greet as all of our animals are cared for in homes. We can't schedule meet and greets until the application is submitted and approved. We don't have a building so there are no viewing hours. All of our animals are cared for in foster homes by wonderful families who volunteer their time to save these precious souls. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
The adoption fee of $350.00 includes:
Spaying/Neutering when old enough, you will receive a coupon with our vets
Up-to-date on routine vaccination for distemper-adenovirus-parainfluenze-parvo, Dewormed with panacur, then repeated 2 weeks later
Treated with either revolution or frontline plus, also repeated 2 weeks later
Rabies vaccination if over 4 months.
4dx test if over 9 month
The mom tested positive for giardia so she has been treated for that. Typically whatever mom has pups have and vice versa.
Fecal tested including the giardia test. Test only came up positive for Coccidia, which the pup has also been treated for.
Both Giardia and Coccidia are common in dogs coming from high intake shelters.
The pup is too young to be fixed, so you will receive a spay/neuter coupon to one of our participating vets to have that procedure done when they are old enough. There is fully refundable $100.00 spay/neuter deposit. We hold the check, and do not cash it. Once the pup is fixed, you email us and we will void your check. The foster will explain that in more detail at the meet and greet.
You will also receive a free health exam visit to either Crest Hill Cat and Dog Clinic, Yorkville Animal Hospital, Midwest Animal Hospital in Orland Park, Woodridge Animal Hospital, Oswego Animal Hospital, Springbrook Animal Hospital, or Naperville Animal Hospital.
Thank you for looking at our rescued animals!
