My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bear’s adoption fee is $250.

Here I am! Aren’t I as cute as a button? My name is Bear, and I’m about 9 years old and I’m a male Chihuahua mix. I weigh about 8 pounds, am neutered, up to date on vaccines, micro chipped and I recently had a dental too.

I am a very sweet, loving little guy who just wants to be near my people. I love attention, and love to be held and cuddled. I always want to have you in my sight, and will cry if I can’t be near you. I think I’d be a wonderful companion for someone who is home most of the time and I’d probably be best suited for someone in a single home (not an apartment or condo). I’m interested in toys, but haven’t really figured out how to play with them.

I’m fine with the other dogs in my foster home and lived with another dog before – we’re not sure about cats. In my previous home I didn’t go outside at all, so learning to go for walks and to do my business outside is all new for me. My foster mom says I’m pretty good at using pee pads, but am not 100%. She sometimes puts a belly band on me which helps too, and I sleep in my crate at night and don’t mess in my crate. I will go when outside if you’re out there with me, but will need some more help working on my house training. As far as walks go, I’m learning to walk on a leash and enjoy my walks, but I sometimes get distracted – there are so many new and interesting things to see outside! I’m good when I encounter other dogs (as long as they don’t pester me!) and like meeting people when we walk.

If you’re looking for a devoted and loving companion please get in touch with my friends at Tiny Paws – we could have a wonderful life together! Love, Bear
