Kelly's Story...
Hi, my name is Kelly. I was one of the oldest of a bunch of kittens born into a dirty, dangerous place. St. Francis volunteers caught me, my brother, and the other kittens and brought us inside. Since I was older, it is taking a little longer for me to get used to the indoor life, and my brother had to go back to the Outside. I mostly love to be with other cats, and when I discovered some older (adult male) cats in my foster home, I turned on the charm!! I started purring very loudly, turning on my back, and practically begging them to play with me! Will you help me learn to love the good life?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kelly, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
