Harper is a beautiful calico girl that was living in a bad part of Wilmington along with her buddy, Hudson. A nice lady was feeding them and provided shelters for them but could not take them in. She called us and we went to get them and took them to a foster home. While there, they were spayed and neutered, tested for feline leukemia and FIV (both negative)vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, and treated for fleas and worms.
She is a sweet girl who is still a little shy. She loves to talk to let you know she's around and gets along well with other cats.
Can she come talk to you at your place?

About Castaway Cats

About Our Rescue Group...

Castaway Cats is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit cat rescue based in Bear, DE, comprised entirely of volunteers. We do not have a shelter and all of our cats are in foster homes. This rescue was started in 1992 in an effort to help the homeless and feral cats in our area. Each cat we rescue is spayed/neutered, tested for Feline Leukemia and AIDS, vaccinated with FVCRP and rabies shots, de-wormed and de-fleaed. Because all our cats are spayed or neutered before adoption, we do not adopt out kittens under the age of 12 weeks.

Our Adoption Process...

If you are interested in meeting one of our cats, you can fill out our online adoption application at Once we receive your application we will contact you with any questions we may have, and then will set up a day and time for you to meet the cat/cats. Once a match is found for your family, there is an $85 adoption fee. This fee covers spaying/neutering of your cat, worming, all shots including rabies, ear mite and flea treatment, and Feline Leukemia and AIDS testing. All adoptions are done on a trial basis so we can be sure everyone is happy. Our goal is to find the best possible cat for you and to ensure our cats have happy forever homes.
