My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tater is almost ready for his furever home! Tater is one of the “Florence Dozen” dogs we rescued from ONE home a couple of weeks ago, after their owner passed away. This awesome boy is about 6 or 7 years old, and he is good with other dogs, having lived with 11 others, all in one home, loose. He is still under medical care for his ears but is improving, so we hope to have him up for adoption very soon, although a foster to adopt situation until medical release is possible. Tater is a big fluffy teddy bear of around 6 or 7 years old. He is a very quiet laid back dog. He would be perfect for someone who wants a low energy dog. He doesn't like going on walks or car rides and is happy just lounging around at home. He is basically a Golden Retriever in a German Shepherd body! He likes to be pet and hugged. He has never barked or ever shown any sign of aggressiveness. Even when his foster is stuffing pills into his mouth or putting drops in his ears, he squirms but has never shown teeth or even a small hint of aggressiveness. None of the dogs in the home had any training, so don’t know sit, stay etc…but all are sweet and kind, and will learn with patience! Tater knows to go outside to do his business. He has been kenneled when his foster is out, but is loose in the home otherwise. We think he will be fine with kids, cats and other dogs. He is a go with the flow sort of guy! He doesn't even get up if someone comes through the door. He will get up eventually and walk over and sniff the person. He doesn’t bark at people. We love this big dude!
