MEET BUSTER!! **Please Note: This is a courtesy post for another rescue; different adoption fees/policy apply.

>>>Buster is a WONDERFULLY affectionate boy who loves older children and adults alike--basically anybody willing to give him attention!! He loves to cuddle and will nuzzle his nose against you for attention. When getting ready in the morning, he will lay right at your feet, sometimes on his back, waiting for a belly scratch.

He is housebroken and doggy door trained, but has never been successful with crate training. He likes to run around outside, but isn't interested in toys. He likes chew sticks, and will try to bury them in blankets.

He does get a bit territorial/protective when people come to the door or in the house. He barks as them, until they bend down and pet him. Then he is their best friend!

Buster is great with every child he has ever been around; However, they should be older children (10+). He would not do well with small children/infants/toddlers.

He does have some minor health issues requiring a daily prescription and food special for urinary care. He has some irritation in his joints and neck, so as much as he enjoys them, his walks are VERY short and only when the AZ sun isn't too hot.

About Underdog Rescue of Arizona

About Our Rescue Group...

Underdog Rescue of Az is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescuing and re-homing of abandoned and/or abused dogs.

We are a foster-based rescue, and do not maintain a physical base of operations. All of our animals are placed with loving, caring safe foster families until they are adopted. We are also an "All Breed" rescue, and do not discriminate based on breed, age, size, etc.

Underdog's mission also includes educating the public on the issue of animal welfare. We strive to promote shelter reform, spay and neuter education and emergency rescue information & assistance.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters will be required to complete our Adoption Application, read and sign our Adopting Policies and Procedures, and participate in a home visit by one of our adoption representatives. Our Adoption Application is located on our website: www.underdogaz.com.

We also have a mandatory two-week Foster With Intent to Adopt trial period for all animals in order to be certain the pet is a good fit for your family.

Our standard adoption fee for dogs is $200; puppies are $250.

Non-standard fees do sometimes apply. Puppies younger than six months may have a higher fee. Designer dogs, purebreds, and other toy type breeds may also have higher adoption fees than the standard $200.

We do, however, have discounted fees for dogs that are seniors, a pair of dogs adopted together, or cats. If you are a veteran or an active duty service member, please ask about our partnership with Pets For Patriots.

All Underdog pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped prior to adoption.

We are a 501c3 non profit, your donations save lives and are 100% tax deductible.
