Holly, possible home's Story...
She has a possible home.

We do not adopt dogs from phone calls or emails. Please do not fill in adoption forms anywhere else, but on OUR web site. Thanks for that.

To start our adoption process, please fill out our form on our web site at: and see the Adopt a Dog/Fee page with more details on how we adopt our dogs. There are a lot of questions answered on our web site and personality details below about each dog BELOW so please READ BEFORE getting in touch. We already answer 500+ emails a day. We do answer questions on dogs once our adoption paperwork is filled in so we can match to the right homes.

Please indicate which dog you are interested in on our adoption form. If their name says pending home then they are not available and are on a test drive with a new family. We do remove our dogs when our adoptions are final so please do not ask us if dogs are available if you see their ads.

There is an adoption fee of $350 for this dog.

Holly came to rescue because she could no longer handle the toddlers in her life. Because she is a red double dapple with two blue eyes she does have the split pupils or slight eyes issues so having toddlers run up on her was not fair to her. Holly sees fine but her eyesight is not 100%.

Holly is three and a true mini about 10 pounds. She is happy, healthy, bouncy and will make anyone a nice princess in the home if they do not have kids under age 7 to pull her tail, etc. She has not been abused but she is not liking folks who allow kids to treat her like a stuffed toy. ;-) This has been a well loved girl in her last home and is very cuddly even with strangers coming to socialize her here.

With her eyes she might not do well in very bright sunlight or very dark situations otherwise she sees fine to get around and be a real dog. Now and then she bumps something but she remembers where it is and avoids it the next time. Hilly is amazing smart and mapping out our home already with her nose, eyes and hearing so I would not call her special needs at all.

Dogs this pretty, tiny and female do not stay in rescue for very long so see above on how we start our adoption process. We do not adopt from emails or hone calls so fill in our adoption form so we can match dogs to new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Holly, possible home, a Spokane Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Spokane, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Spokane.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Spokane already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Spokane breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Spokane paves the way for another one to be saved.
