Gibby's Story...
How cute is this guy? Gibby is a precious and fun loving 2 year old Dachshund mix looking for his fur-ever new family! He was brought in as a stray, and unfortunately was never reunited with his original owners. He is an energetic guy, and would love a family that will provide lots of toys and play time! He has gotten along fabulously with the other dogs in his room, and would be happy to have a doggy friend in his new home. Gibby has been neutered, is current on his vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Come and meet him today at our Waggin' Tails Adoption Center in Benbrook. We are open daily from 12-6pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gibby, a Benbrook Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Benbrook, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Benbrook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Benbrook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Benbrook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Benbrook paves the way for another one to be saved.
