Minnie's Story...
Sweet Minnie is a 4 1/2 year old Rat Terrier who has found herself looking for a new loving family. Her previous owners no longer wanted the responsibility of taking car of her or her housemate and brought them to the shelter. She can be a little nervous at first with new people and in new surroundings, and just wants to be held while someone sweet talks her! Minnie is great with other dogs, and would be happy to have a friend in his new home. She appears to be housetrained, but may need some reminders in her new home. She is spayed, current on the vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Come and meet her today at our Waggin' Tails Adoption Center! We are open daily from 12-6pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Minnie, a Benbrook Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Benbrook, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Benbrook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Benbrook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Benbrook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Benbrook paves the way for another one to be saved.
