My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Northern California Weimaraner Rescue, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Please visit www.norcalweimrescue.org to fill out our online Adoption Application
REMINGTON, 4-5 y/o male blue Weimaraner. This gorgeous, nice boy was picked up as a stray and taken to a local humane society. He had no tags nor micro-chip and his owner did not reclaim him. Which is surprising as Remington seems to have been an indoor dog and well cared for. His coat is healthy, tail docked and dewclaws removed. And, he is well mannered and likes being with people. Remington enjoys getting belly rubs and showing you he knows "sit" and "shake"; he is pretty good on leash (pulls at first) and seems to want to please. Remington LOVES playing Fetch! and will return with the ball and drop it in your hand. Remington caught a cold while at the shelter so we cannot test him with other dogs to confirm our suspicion that he will be fine; he was non-reactive to dogs barking and fussing at the shelter when we evaluated him. He is pretty laid back but it has been warm and he could be a little run down from his cold ... we will update his bio as we learn more about his energy level. Remington is crate trained and does not mind being left in the house alone for short periods (longer periods have not been tried.) So far, he has been a picky eater and prefers having a little wet food on his kibble or to be fed by hand; we believe he has been spoiled in the food category (he really perks up when he smells people food!) Remington has been an easy boy to care for and so very nice. He will be neutered and heart worm tested the week of 6/13, and then he will be ready for his forever home! Remington is current on vaccines and micro-chipped. In Atwater. If you are interested in adoption, please fill out an APPLICATION. His adoption fee is $300.
