ABOUT TYSON
Tyson is a stunning beast. As Jacqueline put it, he looks like he should be winged, with a tiny fairy riding him. These photos just do not do him justice. He runs like some sort majestic creature from the middle ages, his coat shiny and soft.

This mythical Mastiff pit bull mix is approximately two years old. He had a nice home, but when his people decided to take in foster children, we are told, they were required to give Tyson up. So he has found himself at Cranston shelter.

Mama and Jacqueline evaluated Tyson and were instantly smitten. He is reserved at first, happy to explore the play yard on his own and take in all the smells. He knows how to politely sit for a treat, but then is off again exploring. He is the perfect cross of wanting to please but also independent enough to entertain himself.

Tyson has been matched to Handsome Dan's Rescue Shelter Dog Enrichment Specialists, Connie and Trisha, who will be visiting him weekly. Connie and Trish will teach him his basic commands, provide him with enrichment items, and a new collar and harness to help him learn how to walk politely on leash, and see to it that he gets lots of time outside to run and play.

The only downside that we can see to adopting Tyson is that while out walking him, you will never be the best looking one one at the end of the leash.
