Meet Sweet little Abby,

Miss Abby came to us originally in December 2015 with her brothers, we thought we found her furever home, however she was returned to us in March 2016 due to extreme shyness. Abby is an incredibly sweet and gentle girl, and even offers up a toothy smile to those she is confortable with. We are not sure why her demeanor changed, however Abby is petrified of anyone one new, she warms ups very quickly to women, but with men she needs a little longer time, she is comfortable with her foster dad, and the the 5 children ranging in age from 4-16 years.

What Abby needs is Time. We are not talking a matter of days, she will need months until she is completely adjusted. She is well worth the wait.

This sweet girl absolutely needs a confident K-9 companion in her adoptive home.  She absolutely loves the company of other dogs, and is gentle with cats, she will need a crate as a safe space for her to retreat to as she adjusts to her new home. We are seeking a home that does not have a lot of visitors coming and going, and a fenced yard is a requirement. If given just a little time to realize that you mean her no harm, Abby will blossom and show you her encredibly sweet and sensitive soul.

It would be ideal if her adoptive family would take her to group dog training classes, which would boost her confidence and help her come out of her shell.  The cost of such classes can be negotiated, and PCAR will assist if needed. For the right family we will offer a two to four week foster to adopt adjustment period. She is an aussie/lab mix?? and approximately 1 year 8 months old, 40ish lbs, spayed, microchipped and up to date on her shots. She is now looking for her furever home.

If you would be interested in adopting Abby,  please complete our adoption application at - if you have any questions please see the FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions section on our website, most answers to your questions can be answered here, complete with our adoption process. Abby is up to date on vaccines, micro chipped, treated for fleas and worms, and comes with 30 days of FREE health insurance.  Adoption donation is $225.00
