My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LOLA
Born April 15, 2015, Female, Blue-Gray, British Shorthair

Lola and Lucy are purebred British Shorthair yearlings purchased as kittens from a breeder by a retired couple who adored them and took good care of them, but ultimately felt that these two needed a more active home.

These perfect, plush little princesses both have classic blue-grey coats and bright copper eyes. They are very curious about everything around them and have a lot of energy to explore and play together.
Lucy is the larger of the two cats. Lucy has the regal stance of a queen and likes to keep a watchful eye over her domain. She is inquisitive and can often be found squeezing under, over, and around furniture, looking for the perfect place to lounge and observe her surroundings.

Lola has expressive eyes and is equally adorable whether playing or napping. She will happily leap and chase string toys for as long as you are willing. Once settling down for a rare catnap, rub her shoulders and she’ll nuzzle her head into your hand for attention.

Lucy and Lola find people fascinating but, at their young age, there are just so many fun things to do. They love to buzz around just out of reach and put on an entertaining show for everyone. Since moving in with their foster family, they have slowly started to learn that sometimes it's fun to actually play with the humans! Occasionally, they enjoy having their chins and backs rubbed and may even roll on the floor to show their appreciation.

The CFA describes British Shorthairs as relatively calm cats, quiet and easygoing in nature. They have been called aloof with strangers but, given time, they generally warm up to be very affectionate and attached to their owners.

Lucy and Lola will do well in a home with space to explore and play, and will continue to be energetic young cats for a little while longer. Given attention and patient interaction with them a bit every day, they'll turn into steadfast companions for life.

Lucy and Lola eat dry food in the morning and enjoy moist food at night. They have perfect litter box manners.

Their foster parents are John and Michelle in Sunnyvale, CA.
