Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I was a tough little cookie at first, and still am to a certain extent; I am the first one to recognize it. This didn’t turn the staff away from me—quite the opposite. They gave me space and time to adjust to this new place, always being so gentle: giving me treats, a nice blanket and still taking me out for walks with a system of looping leashes. They really helped me realize that I was safe and did not have to worry about anything. This is why Save-A-Pet is such a special place: they are always there for us, regardless of our needs. Once I got more comfortable, volunteers started spending time with me—and now, as soon as I spot people, I am right at the door with my tail wagging, all excited. My preference, since I am being asked, would be a single person, kind of the homey type, with some doggy experience (since noises and people in and out just stress me too much). I was truly given a chance at happiness and hope to find a person with a heart as big as the hearts of the staff and volunteers here.
