Krista's Story...
Krista, (named after a tireless volunteer), is a very beautiful, friendly Dilute Calico that need s new place to call home. She ended up in the shelter through no fault of her own. She was obviously loved and well cared for. She is de-clawed, so we prefer her to be in a home alone or with other de-clawed cats. Please give Krista a second chance at a wonderful life and she will be the PURR-fect companion for you. If interested in adopting, please visit www.masrescue.org and click on "Adopt Here". The adoption fee is $50. Please note: 100% of all the adoption fees collected are used to care for the animals, and pay our ever increasing vet bill. We appreciate your interest in adopting from a rescue organization. cWe understand the desire to meet our "cuties" as soon as possible, but because we operate entirely out of foster homes, we need to limit visitation to approved applicants only. Breed Selection is 'Best Efforts' by shelter staff, veterinarians and rescue volunteers. No guarantees are implied.
Cats are NOT to be de-clawed, and must remain indoor pets only.
Remember adoption is a commitment for the lifetime of your companion; cats could live 20 years or more!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Krista, a Baltimore Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in Baltimore, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in Baltimore.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baltimore already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baltimore breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baltimore paves the way for another one to be saved.
