(4/27/16) Tori has been spayed and had her inguinal hernia repaired....she is recovering well. In a few weeks, Tori will receive a dental and have a mammary tumor removal. This tiny girl was not cared for previously, and we are doing everything that we can to make sure that she is loved and cared for the remainder of her life. Tori is not socialized, but she is starting to respond in her foster home. Tori will need a patient adopter who will give her time to feel safe.....and Tori will also need to go to a home that has at least one other dog for her companionship. If you would like to donate toward Tori's surgeries and vetting, please email (4/3/16) Tori was rescued from a breeder a few days ago since he "was done with her"....his exact words. Tori is about 7-8 years old and weighs just 7 lbs. She is a little shy, but warming up to her foster parents. Tori is doing well with all the other foster dogs in her new home. She had her vet exam and received her vaccinations......and she is scheduled for a spay, dental, inquinal hernia repair and mammary tumor removal. Tori has an issue with one of her hind legs and favors it sometimes, so she should go to a more quiet home. We are looking for a home for her with no young children. Tori has not had a good life so far.....and we are committed to making sure that the rest of her life is wonderful! IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO MEET TORI, PLEASE EMAIL

About Angels Among Us Animal Sanctuary

About Our Rescue Group...

Our rescue focuses on senior dog adoption and hospice care. We pull most of our rescue dogs from high kill shelters where seniors have no chance of adoption. We also take owner surrenders when the owner can no longer care for their senior dog. We have foster homes in several states for our adoptable seniors. We are especially proud of our "Seniors for Seniors" Program where we match our adoptable senior dogs with senior citizens. We have fundraising events so that we can donate the vetting for this program. We rescue dogs with special needs who are blind, deaf, arthritic, well as dogs with serious illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, etc. We have three foster homes that specialize in the care of our Resident Angels, our hospice cases. We are an all volunteer organization, and we are always looking for volunteers, foster homes, and help with fundraising.

Our Adoption Process...

We require an application, vet reference check, personal references and a home visit prior to approval. We accept adoption donations to go toward our vetting costs for each dog. Their is no adoption fee/donation for our "Seniors for Seniors" Program which matches our senior dogs with senior citizens.
