She is a special needs darling. She is a miracle. If someone wants to adopt a doggy that is only now learning that the human touch can be nice, Maxine might be for you. She doesn't like to be picked up but does enjoy soft petting. She is partially potty trained and understands the doggy door but doesn't see too well and sometimes gets confused when she tries to come back in. She doesn't hear too well. She's cute when she talks in her sleep. It's as if she is telling her story. She is sooo learning about the good life and is interested in learning more. You can tell bc shyly she will follow you and discover the house and yard. She likes treats and snaps them up fast (remember she can't see too well) but doesn't bite, you should know this so you don't think she is mean. Mostly, bc her life was so tough before this, she is scared and sometimes tries to be tough to compensate. To know her is to realize how brave she really is. She is a lucky survivor of extreme neglect. Are you the person that can help her realize how beautiful the rest of her life can be? Maxey is evolving into a beautiful doggy and learning that humans can bring happiness. She is looking to bond with a human for the first time. Are you Maxey's human?
