Toby came to us a couple of years back from the Kirby Shelter. We agreed to take him, although he had an attitude problem. He would bite if you tried to touch him. He was badly abused prior to getting to the shelter, but everyone thought he had potential. Toby is one of my favorites. He picks his friends. If he likes you, he allows you to pick him up, hold him and pretty much do what you want. If he doesn't like you, you probably better respect his cues. He absolutely loves children, but we don't feel comfortable letting him go out to a family with kids because of his bite history. He goes to adoptions and absolutely loves the attention.
