Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This pretty little girl with a waggy tail is Lexi San Lucas. Lexi was recently placed into bite quarantine at a shelter. Her owner (supposedly a breeder) took Lexi to the dollar store and left her in the car with windows down. Lexi jumped out, (thank goodness she didn't get hurt) and tried to follow the lady into the store. When an employee bent down to grab for Lexi, she panicked and bit him. They called animal control and poor Lexi had to spend 10 days in quarantine. The fee to get her out was $150 plus $10 for a rabies shot. The owner declined to pay the fees, and while signing Lexi over to the shelter, she mentioned matter-of-factly that she had bred Lexi, so she might be pregnant; and with her last litter, she'd only had three puppies.
This seven year old sweetheart was covered in fleas If she is expecting, she doesn't appear that far along so we'll be keeping and eye on her to see if her belly begins to grow. In the mean time, she's going to get a lot of TLC from her foster family!
