Sammy - attention hound's Story...
Sammy is a little rayof sunshine who will make you smile! He is outgoing, energetic, and loves to play, and snuggle, and play, and snuggle... If you're looking for a mischievous little friend to brighten your day, Sammy may be the cat for you! If you're looking for a lazy, aloof cat who wants to be left alone, then keep on looking because that's not Sammy! Sammy is entertaining and likes to be entertained - he also like to talk. He has a very Bengal-like purrsonality and although we don't know much about his background, we wonder if he might be part Bengal.

Sammy came to SARA with an injury, he had a broken femoral head - it has healed well and although he has a slight limp, our vet suspects that will go away as he gets older and the area becomes stronger. This guy is not looking back - he is ready for the next adventure and hopes that will be with you.

Please note: Adoption procedure includes an adoption application and home visit.
Adoption fee applies and includes:
neuter surgery
current on age-appropriate vaccinations
FIV/ feline leukemia testing
microchip
cat training/ behavior DVD
certificate for a free veterinary wellness exam
oodles of kitty love

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sammy - attention hound, a Tucson Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tucson, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Tucson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tucson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tucson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tucson paves the way for another one to be saved.
