Gilly is a 2 yr. old, male Pitbull/Bulldog mix; he is house-trained, crate-trained, knows basic commands, loves car rides and is right at home inside a house. He is energetic and loves to walk but doesn’t believe in dawdling; and is determined to beat all speed records. He would be a great running companion. Gilly was sitting in a shelter, his face and body covered in countless bite wounds, a victim of horrors we can’t begin to imagine when Angels Among Us Pet Rescue came to his aid. Given the circumstances, one might expect Gilly to be fearful and distrusting, maybe even mean, but not GillytheKid! The big lug may be scarred on the outside, but his soul was never even scratched. He exudes love, joy, happiness and trust and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. Gilly is gentle and kind and holds no grudges; not against humans and not against other dogs. Gilly ADORES people, greets everyone with excitement and a wagging tail; he’s a perfect snuggle buddy and is especially fond of children and seniors. Gilly plays well with dogs of all sizes and, when faced with confrontation, Gilly turns and walks away. He goes out of his way to make new dog friends and if the other dog isn’t interested, Gilly respects this without being fearful. Gilly is the definition of well-balanced and will happily share his food and toys without complaint. Gilly is a special dog and would make a wonderful addition to your family!!
