Hello, how are you? My name is Elsa...like Princess Elsa in “Frozen.” But my real name is Elsa Bear. I figure that's because you don't want to confuse me with Princess Elsa. After all, I don't have blonde hair, it's more reddish, and I am a little older than Princess Elsa. However, right now, I feel like a princess. My rescue, like many others, was a close call. You know, picked up as a stray, chain still attached, I was thin, all those things you would expect. The reason I feel like a princess? Well, it's because I am in a great foster home where I get food, water, a soft bed, vet care, and, best of all, love and attention...and I am gaining weight! I am about 35-lb which is on the small side for a Lab mix, but that just means I'll fit in a smaller place, like a condo or an apartment. The vet says I'm about 8-years old, and he might be right because my teeth are very clean. But mom and I say, no way. I'm probably closer to 10 or 11-years old. Maybe it's my “frosted” muzzle and face, or the way I am a little slower getting up than when I was younger, but I don't mind either way; as a woman, I would rather have my age listed as younger versus older. Oh, and while I was a stray, I picked up heartworms, but Angels is taking care of that, and those will soon be gone. You can tell from my pictures, I am a happy girl. And jI ust to make sure I look as young as my age. So, I may have to dye my facial hair to match the rest of me. You see, I still have a lot of spunk and energy, just ask my foster mom. I love going on long walks or just hanging out in the yard playing with you. Also, I have impeccable house manners, I only potty outside and, while I don't like being crated, I am very good inside...my foster mom keeps me in the kitchen area where I am perfectly content to stay until she is home. Are you looking for a smaller than normal, Lab mix, happy, redheaded girl to fill your home with love and companionship? Well, I am looking for my forever home. I think we may be a match!
