Zakira's Story...
Hey there! Zakira here. What can I say? I’m the almost perfect little lady. I have a slight limp on my right back leg but that doesn’t stop me one bit! Actually it gives me some street cred. I’ve been around the block and know what I want… You see, I want a family I can call my own. Like I said, I am a lady and rarely bark, am house trained and prance perfectly on the leash. Totally low key and would LOVE to snuggle up with you on the couch and watch some good Lifetime television. I’m living with my 3 foster siblings, which is totally fine, but I’m not too interested with them… Once it’s bed time, I sleep thru the night - a gal’s gotta get her beauty sleep! My foster mom thinks I’d be perfect for an older couple so we can hang out all day and relax! The shelter was so scary and I’m just so happy to be an Angel now… Will you be my Angel and adopt me? Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zakira, a Alpharetta Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Alpharetta, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Alpharetta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Alpharetta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Alpharetta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Alpharetta paves the way for another one to be saved.
