Towknee (Tony)'s Story...
**ADOPTION PENDING** Towknee, pronounced "Tony", is a sweet, somewhat shy 3 year old smooth chocolate/tan/dapple male. He recently arrived to Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue so we are learning about him. What we do know about him is that he can be won over easily given a little time. He likes being held, enjoys cuddling and sleeping in bed with his human. As more information is available on Towknee his profile will be updated. Towknee needs a fenced yard, playtime with another same size dog and a guardian that will take him for daily walks. Towknee is available for adoption in Colorado only.

All of our dogs are fully vetted prior to adoption. Towknee's adoption fee is $250.00. AN ADOPTION APPLICATION IS REQUIRED TO BE FILLED OUT AND SUBMITTED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET OR A HOME VISIT CAN BE SCHEDULED WITH TOWKNEE. The adoption application can be accessed online at c2cdr.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Towknee (Tony), a Louisville Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Louisville, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Louisville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Louisville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Louisville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Louisville paves the way for another one to be saved.
