Hi Everyone, my name is Nellybelle. I am a 65 pound Shepherd mix and I am still looking for my forever home. I have been with Angels for over a year and I just can’t understand why no one wants me to be a part of their family. It makes me really sad; although to look at me, you wouldn’t know it. I always have a smile on my face. I am about 2-3 years old and full of life and energy. I would love a fenced in backyard so I could run and play with you or I wouldn’t mind going for walks either. I am crate trained and house trained, but really, I don’t need to be crated when you are away. I am not destructive and will just hang out until you get home. I love people; kids, adults, it doesn’t matter. I love human attention and I will roll on my back for those yummy tummy rubs. Ohhh, I just love those tummy rubs. Those are almost better than treats (almost). I do like other dogs; however, I don’t like to be on a leash when I meet them. I will bark at other dogs and they might think due to my size that I want to harm them, but that is not the case. I just don’t know how to express myself very well when I meet new four legged friends. I am currently working with a professional trainer to help me understand how to greet other dogs in a proper way. Please don’t let that deter you from adopting me; I am so sweet and I am trying really hard. The only thing that my foster mommy says that I have a problem with are kitties. I don’t get those furry things and when I see the kitties at my foster mommy’s house, well, I have to chase them. I am not proud of it, but it happens. I probably shouldn’t live in a house with kitties. I really hope you consider adopting me. It would be so awesome to be a part of your family and I know when you meet me, I can make you smile.
