Belinda is one of the 276+ small breed dogs rescued from the horrific hoarding case in Howell, NJ. She is about 3 years old and looks like a maltese mix, only 6lbs full grown. These dogs have never been on leashes or been exposed to anything outside of their previous "home" before coming to us, so they are understandably timid and in shock right now but slowly starting to warm up and learn to trust. They will be looking for calmer adult homes with at least one other dog in the home to help them feel more confident and teach them how to enjoy life in a real home.
Having the opportunity to help frightened neglected dogs like these learn trust and enjoy their lives is the most rewarding part of rescue and reminds us of why we keep doing what we do, and we are looking forward to watching these special dogs' true personalities start to emerge as they feel safe. We do not have a shelter- all our pets are in foster homes and can be seen by appointment only during the week, or at our weekly pet adoptions every Sunday at the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains from 12:30 to 3PM at 3009 Route 10 East next to 5 Star Car Wash (formerly Boulder Car Wash) in Morris Plains (Denville on GPS).
