Our rescue will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express Saturday, October 22nd from 1-4pm and Sunday, October 23rd from 12-3pm. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated and microchipped.

* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, for an application. * We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted. * We do not ship our dogs for any reason. * Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy. * If it is on a weekend of our adoptions, follow us on @DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. We will also post at the end of the evening the names of those dogs who have been adopted:

This kitten will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, October 8th from 1-4pm and Sunday, October 9th from 12-3pm or until adopted. However, we do meet with those who submit an application and are approved just prior to the event (by invitation only) and they are given the first opportunity to adopt. If you are interested in one of our cats or dogs, we recommend filling out an application prior to the event to be considered. Applications submitted within 24 hours of the event may not necessarily be reviewed.

Gabe is a 6 month old kitten who we rescued from a shelter along with his brother Eli, who is being adopted out separately. Gabe would thrive in a home with an older cat to be a role model for him, as he does everything with his current foster brother-they sleep together, eat together, even use the litterbox together! They're just two peas in a pod.

Gabe has come a long way from when we first rescued him, but he's still going to need a bit more time to fully adjust to life with humans. Once he bonded with his foster family, he really opened up but he still hisses occasionally and will need a quieter home and a family that can be mindful of his sensitive personality. He has a huge heart and though it takes him a while to fall in love, he will be loyal beyond compare once he does. He has a very unique disposition and will likely never be a lap kitty, but he enjoys lazing around near you and connects with his humans in his own special way.
He's not as a big a fan of dogs and might hiss when meeting them. He has accepted their existence and can live with your canine companion peacefully, but if you're looking for a friend for your pooch Gabe is not your guy. He will need a bit more time to adjust to his new home, but he is content being held and petted when he feels safe enough in his environment.

Gabe really likes sitting on your shoulders and either playing with your hair or surveying the room, He's super good about using the litterbox.

Gabe has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before going to his new home. His adoption donation is $150. Fill out an application today and give this little guy a new, loving home to explore!

**Not all of our dogs go to each adoption event. We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend)

**If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.
