Hi, my name is Chico, and I am patiently waiting with my foster parents until I can be united with my forever family. At 7 years old, I am by far the cutest, sweetest little dog you will ever meet. My baby soft hair is the color of vanilla ice cream, and I LOVE attention. I weigh approximately 6.5 pounds, and I am the perfect size to fit snugly in your lap for as long as you will let me lay there. In fact, I am quite persistent until I can settle comfortably snuggled with you. I love regular massages, and if you stop petting me too soon, I will be sure to let you know by yipping to gain your attention. My most distinctive characteristic is my little snaggle tooth, which juts from my under my lip making me look super cute!
At night, I prefer to cuddle by your side under the covers. However, if you do decide that you would rather leave me in a crate or in another room, I promise to not make any noise or scratch on the door (although I may make a few sad yelps in the beginning). When you do come to get me though, I will hardly be able to contain my excitement! I usually jump around excitedly knowing that I get to spend more time with you! I love going outside, and I look forward to daily walks where I can sniff everything and bask in the sunlight.
I have very good manners, and I never have accidents inside or bark excessively. I am too proud to beg for food, but if you offer me a treat in return for sitting nicely, I will be happy to oblige. My sincere wish is to find a family who will love me as much as I will love them since my former mom gave me up because she was worried about having me around her grandchildren. Furthermore, I adjust to new people pretty quickly although I can be a little hesitant with strangers. I already know that I will be your best friend within 15 minutes. In fact, everyone who meets me loves me almost instantly. In addition, I do VERY well with meeting new dogs, and I submit to ALL aggressive personalities without putting up a fight even if I am sitting in your lap.
I will be so grateful when I can finally settle in one place for the rest of my life with someone who will truly love me as their own. My current temporary home is in Louisville, KY, but my foster mom has promised me that she will transport me to my new forever home. I have tons of love to offer, and my foster mom is very confused on who would ever want to give me up.
