Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Georgia! She is a very sweet 12 week old, 8 pound puppy who came to us with her sisters Virginia and Montana. They are an easy going, fun and loving bunch! Her mom is a small lab mix, but Georgia has adorable curly hair on her ears so maybe there's some Spaniel in the mix. Based on her current size it seems she will be much smaller than a lab when full grown. However, only those willing to take pot luck in terms of her ultimate breed and size should apply!
Georgia is in a foster home with her sisters and two children (ages 6 and 2). She is kid and dog friendly, and she is not a barker. Georgia is shyer than her sisters, but is also the most loving of the bunch. She is well on her way to being house trained; she understands “go potty” and will generally go on newspaper if needed indoors. She has been sleeping with her sisters in a crate overnight with little to no whining and generally no accidents. She loves lots of cuddles in the morning, playing outside in the sunshine, and chewing on rawhide bones.
Because she is still young, Georgia will need someone home part or all day to complete her house training, keep her well socialized and exercised. She will be ready for puppy school in a few weeks; obedience training is another requirement for adoption.
Georgia is still living in her foster home, but makes frequent visits to Wilmette Pet (625 Green Bay Road in Wilmette) in search of her forever family. Feel free to call Wilmette Pet during normal business hours (847-251-6750) to confirm Georgia is there to meet. Although she is so sweet you will want to take her home on the spot, please note you will have to go through the application process first.
Georgia’s adoption fee is $375, which includes: vet exam, DHAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, bordetella vaccination, rabies vaccination, microchip, deworming, flea and tick preventative, Heartworm preventative and spay.
