Royston (Mother Combo Tested)'s Story...
"Royston" is an adorable male kitten who arrived at the HSOV on April 29, 2016 with his mother (Mona Lisa) and his six siblings (Archer, Kate, Little John, Maid Marian, Robin Hood, and Sir Guy) when they were tiny 5-week old babies. "Royston" has a beautiful buff-colored short smooth coat, a long tail, and a darling kitten face with soft innocent eyes, a pink nose, and long white whiskers. This little boy was affectionate and playful during his photo session. "Royston" will be available for adoption when he is big enough to be neutered. The adoption fee for HSOV cats/kittens is just $20 with an approved adoption application and includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and wormer. Royston's mother (Mona Lisa) was combo tested on May 14, 2016 and is negative for feline leukemia, FIV, and heartworm (which is also good news for Royston and his siblings). Their mother was adopted on June 10, 2016. We were happy for her and look forward to her kittens finding fabulous homes. "Royston" was neutered on June 29, 2016 and was also given rabies vaccine. His adoption fee would be just $20 with an approved adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Royston (Mother Combo Tested), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
