Reese's's Story...
"Hello! My name is REESE'S (like the peanut butter cup), and I'm a six-month-old German Shepherd mix pup who's ready for a forever home. I'm an energetic and playful pooch with a friendly disposition. I enjoy a good game of fetch, and I love to go on walks. I've learned how to sit on command, and I'm ready to learn much more. I'll enjoy the time we spend together working on my basic commands, and I'd love to make you happy by learning how to be a well-mannered dog. At this point in my young life, I'd do best in an adult home, and I'd need to be the only dog. A good-sized yard and daily exercise will be important for me. I'm affectionate and loving, so with some training and maturity I'm going to be a great dog and a loving companion. I'm a diamond in the "ruff." Please come visit me so we can spend some time out in the nice play yard that they have here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter. Let me show you my excellent fetching skills. I'll bring the toy right back to you! I hope to see you soon. Love, Reese's"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Reese's, a El Cajon German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
