Hi there! My name is Bugsy! I am a fun, playful fluffball who is looking for a forever home and someone to love for life. I am a typical little boy. I am a rough-and-tumble, playful and rowdy, 9-week-old kitten who will steal your heart in a second. I love to play! I chase and wrestle with my foster sister. I pounce on my toys and throw them around for more pouncing. I would love to have another energetic and playful kitty to play with in my new home. (We kitties do better in pairs anyway) When I am not playing, I LOVE to snuggle and be held. I sometimes wait by the door for my foster mom and when I hear her coming, I am the first to say hi. Sometimes, I even beat the dog to it. I have purr-fectly honed my purring skills. I am really good at it. Scratch my ears and neck and you'll see what I mean. I have met a couple of dogs and they aren't bad so long as they don't chase me. But, with proper introductions, I’ll make friends with your pooch in no time. I haven’t met any kids yet, but my foster mom says I would be ok with kids. "I can hold my own," she says. I use a litterbox like a good boy. From noon to 4 p.m. on the fourth Sunday each month, come meet adoptable dogs, cats, puppies and kittens (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event). Event dates for 2016: July 24, August 28, September 25, October 23, November 27 and December 18.
Saturday, August 6: Adoption Event at Petco, 29335 Orchard Lake Rd, Farmington Hills (just south of 13 Mile Rd). From noon to 4 p.m., come meet adoptable dogs, cats, puppies and kittens (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event). Adoption event dates for 2016: August 6, August 20, September 3, September 17, October 1, October 15, November 5, November 19, December 3 and December 17.
Adoption Process: Complete the application at
www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
