  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Sweet, sweet Honey ! She is as sweet as her name. Honey is a pretty 6 to 7 year old yellow Lab and weighs about 55 lbs. She is a loving and affectionate girl and loves to be with her people. She would be someone's constant companion. Honey loves going for walks and does fair on the leash, she loves hanging out in the yard and supervising yard work, or she would just love to snuggle in front of the TV and share some popcorn. Honey does well with other dogs and with her personality would probably be good with cats. We can cat test if needed. She would be considered medium energy for her age and still has lots of pep in her step. She is house trained and crate trained. Honey has been spayed, is heartworm free, up to date on vaccinations including rabies and is micro-chipped. If you are looking for a sweet faithful companion then Honey would be your girl. Please go to our website, www.luckylabrescue.com, complete an online application and indicate 'Honey' in the notes section if you would like to learn more about this girl. She is available in the Midwest and in New England.

About Lucky Lab Rescue and Adoption - IN

About Our Rescue Group...

Lucky Lab Rescue and Adoption is an all-volunteer, non-profit (currently filing for 501(c)(3) status) rescue organization whose mission is to reduce the euthanasia rates and inhumane treatment of Labrador Retrievers in the Midwest and find loving forever homes for them.

Most labs that come into Lucky Lab Rescue are from shelters here in the Midwest. Most are at risk of euthanasia, usually due to overcrowded shelters. Labs are one of the most popular breeds of dogs due to their loyal and family oriented personalities. Labs are also one of the most overbred breeds and are the number one breed to be found in shelters. They also have one of the highest euthanasia rates. Some find it difficult that rescues can be breed specific, however, Lucky Lab Rescue and other lab rescues make a huge impact on euthanasia rates just by rescuing labs and lab mixes alone.

Our Adoption Process...

Potiential adopters must fill out an application and a Lucky Lab representative will follow up with both a phone and home interview. Our adoption includes all vaccination, microchip, spay or neuter and a heartworm test. Provide additional medical treatments if needed.
