Sophie's Info...

Sophie's Story...
I am a sweet girl who is so thankful for my second chance at life to raise my kids. We are all safe and happy, thanks to my awesome foster parents. I like my dad, a lot. I guess I have a thing for men... He can hold me and pet me. And I look scared in my pictures because I was taken to a new place and was a little nervous. I need alone time and am not really a lap cat, but I would love to have a quiet place to look out the windows and watch the birds. I am fostered in Huntsville, AL. I am felv/fiv negative, up to date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped! My adoption fee is $25 and you can fill out an application for me at www.forrescue.net!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Chattanooga Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chattanooga, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Chattanooga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chattanooga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chattanooga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chattanooga paves the way for another one to be saved.
