Dancer's Story...
Dancer is a lovely grey Schnauzer here at Poodle Rescue - an honorary Poodle!
She is 3 years old and weighs 17 pounds. While Dancer is great with people, she is not so great with other dogs and will need to be an only dog.
Come by Poodle Rescue of Houston any day to meet this great dog and many others - the best time to visit is between 9-4:00. We're at 13302 Schroeder Rd., off SH 249 just past FM 1960 in NW Houston. No appointment is needed; we'll interview you onsite.
All the dogs are spayed/neutered, current on shots, and parasite / heartworm checked (and treated if positive). All dogs are trained to use a doggie door. Adoption Fees vary. Please see our website: for complete info on our organization, adopter qualifications and directions.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dancer, a Houston Schnauzer (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in Houston, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
