Emily's Story...
Hi, my name is EMILY and I am a FRIENDLY and SWEET 1 year old female. As you can see from my photo, I’m a PETITE ORANGE kitty with light green eyes and a long and lean EXOTIC looking face. (Did you know that only 20 percent of orange cats are female?) That makes me a bit of a rarity! My foster mom said that she thinks that I'm ADORABLE. She also said that she likes that I give her KISSES and HEAD BUTTS. I like to hang around with her and sleep with her on her bed at night. I also enjoy BELLY RUBS. I get along with other cats just fine or I could be your ONE and ONLY. You decide! I am spayed, UTD on shots, and FIV/FeLV negative.

To meet me, fill out the CAT ADOPTION APPLICATION at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emily, a Long Beach Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
