Jaeger's Story...
Jaeger ~$150 Jaeger has been in the rescue since December 2015 but due to legal proceedings he was wrapped up in we have been unable to share him until now. He is a 10 year old English setter. Jaeger is very smart and just a lovable goofball. He is a bird dog and does go after poultry if you keep them. He is potty trained but needs some house manners. Using a belly band helps. He came to us slightly underweight and he has gained nicely. He is neutered and update on all of his shots. This guy just loves cuddles and touching people. He needs a family that is willing to be a big part of his life and give him a lot of attention. He does well with cats but will growl if they get too close. He has never tried to harm them. He has a lot of patience for things he does not particularly like such as nail trims and baths.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jaeger, a Sheridan English Setter dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Setter for sale in Sheridan, or seeking a English Setter dog from a breeder in Sheridan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sheridan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sheridan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Setter breeders who help with English Setter rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sheridan paves the way for another one to be saved.
