My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please welcome pretty TRESSA to Saving Paws! Tressa was rescued a couple of weeks ago from the streets of Apache Junction by some good Samaritans. They had actually noticed her hiding under a car for 3 days. They were able to get her out, and bring her home while they looked for an owner who never materialized, so they contacted us to help her. We estimate Tressa to be about 3 years old. Since she was a scared girl, we thought a foster home for her would be best and she has been staying with our friend Ashley. Ashley reports that Tressa is getting much better, and learning all sorts of new things! She is still a bit leery of stairs, though. They have been getting her out to socialize, and once she gets over her initial nervousness she has fun! They say she is very adaptable to things. She is potty trained and does great in the car, too! She walks super well on a leash, and is pretty low energy in general. Indoors she just likes to hang on her bed wherever the people are – she is definitely a people lover. Tressa does have some separation anxiety, and her foster is working with her on that. Tressa is good with other dogs, and also good with children, although since she likes her quiet time, she is more comfortable around slightly older children. This is a very sweet girl who deserves a loving home after all she has been through. If you are looking for an INDOOR companion, and would like to offer a loving home to sweet Tressa, please fill out our online application to get the approval process in motion. We won't schedule meet & greets without an approved app on file. Here's the link:
