Hi, Shelby here!
My family moved away and left me in the local high-kill shelter. Fortunately, Eskie Rescuers quickly came and got me out of that scary place! I love my foster home, but I sure wish I could find my very own forever home…….
I am 8 years old and I’m a friendly, nice boy. I’m very affectionate and I LOVE to be petted and I especially love to have my belly rubbed. My foster mommy says I have the most beautiful fur….very soft and white, almost like puppy fur. I love to cuddle and want to be your constant companion.
My perfect forever home would be one where I could be the center of your universe and where I could get ALL of your attention. While I get along with other dogs, I have a pretty high prey drive – so no small dogs, cats and/or children. I would thrive with an at-home retired person and sharing a special one-on-one relationship and bond. I am very smart, so I need an experienced and smart owner - preferably one who has had an Eskie before and understands our Eskie quirks!
If you think I would be a good companion and you are the forever home I am waiting for, please go to www.eskierescuers.org to learn about the adoption process and complete the online adoption application.
Woof, woof!! xxooxo
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.
There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
Your message has been sent to Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. - Florida.
You'll receive a copy, too, at to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply.
