Angus's Story...
Howdy Folks. I'm Angus and pretty excited to be a Luv of Dogz dog. By the way, I'm a Cocker Spaniel with a tail. … Really a tail, this is not a typo, but I do have a tale. Before Luv, I was in pretty bad shape ‘cause I was left outside in a dirt yard with a wire crate to call my home.. They did put a shade cloth over it, but it was dry brown dirt, yep, no grass… Nothing free… and phew! … Lucky me, they decided to give me away. With this over 100 degree weather, I was whisked away in the nick of time by a Luv volunteer.

I was so matted, scared, and confused when my foster mom came. It was pretty exciting to be indoors though. When I got to her home I played throughout the night with my new foster brothers. No one slept much that night! I haven't had any accidents indoors.

I have several foster brothers and sisters right now and enjoy playing with them. My favorite thing to do though is to lay by my foster mom. And eat…I know how to sit for treats. I'm also beginning to like the couch. Hmmn … a guy could get used to this. And oh, just discovered the tennis ball. Playing fetch is kinda fun!

I'm about 3 or 4 years old. I was abandoned before and then the next people took me in, but decided keeping a cocker spaniel was way too expensive. If you thinking about adopting me please know that it is indeed expensive and time consuming. I need to be groomed regularly. I do not want to be left unkempt and matted like before. I have long ears and although I don't have any ear infections, my breed is prone to that.

I'm working on walking with a leash. This leash thing is kinda new. And I really don't want to leave the house. There's a/c and it's clean. I really prefer to be a homebody right now. The outside is pretty scary and hot.

I've just been neutered, vaccinated, and micro chipped and am ready for meets and greets. If you want to meet a fun guy like me, please fill out an application form.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Angus, a Scottsdale Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
