Here's what the humans have to say about me:
A heartfelt and lovely write up of Shorty from his former foster mama MaryAnn:
"When I first saw Shorty at REACH rescue, I wanted to foster him. I had fostered many dogs through REACH before, but Shorty was special from the start. When I look into Shorty's adoring eyes (or maybe it's the way he looks back at me), I see such a sweet boy who just wants someone to love,...and a happy forever home, where he will feel secure and safe. He is very gentle with my 3 children, who all ADORE him, ...and is calm and well-mannered. He loves walking next to me on a leash, whether for a long walk or a short walk, he's happy with either. He's quite a snuggler too, especially when we sit down as a family and watch tv at night,... he gets right up next to us, and gives us plenty of kisses. He is fully potty trained, a great listener, and I do talk to him often during the day, and very obedient. He is a best buddy, and I know he would be a best friend.
It's hard for me to believe that Shorty has never had a loving home, and was neglected for 8 years before he was rescued. He has overcome so much in his life, and yet has brought so much love and joy to our family, a true testimony to his beautiful spirit."
Shorty is 9 years old and in great health. His bones are full of spunk, bounce and a whole lot of love. He is a pure joy and makes quite the companion for anyone in need of a good and true friend. Shorty enjoys being an only dog but he likes calm female dogs as well. Cats are not a good match for Shorty and neither are small pets as he is prey driven. Shorty loves children and more than anything else in this world he loves the people that put their time into his care.
