Blondie really needs a nice forever home without a lot of chaos, free of felines, preferably where she can be an only dog (or kept separate from other dogs). Since Blondie needs some help with her socialization skills, she also needs a home with no children (older/savvy teens are okay) and someone who can show her how awesome (and not scary) the world is!
Blondie is a 5 1/2 year old lab mix girl who was seized from her original family during some sort of investigation last year (details are unknown), spent time in the Miami Dade shelter, was brought up north to a different shelter, got adopted and returned without being given a chance, and survived death row (twice) before making it to her current foster. She hasn't had a whole lot of stability in her life, so we're hoping that her next stop is her final stop.
Blondie's a sweet soul who hasn't been given the chance to shine. She needs a savvy and confident adopter who can help her continue to learn some better social skills and come into her own. As Blondie is adjusting to life outside the shelter, she is already showing how awesome she can be with clear, confident guidance and structure.
Blondie also recently received two weeks of formal board and train to help build some confidence and work through her behavioral quirks. She's made a ton of progress since she first came into rescue, and she's shown significant improvement with her ability to be around strangers and even some other dogs. Blondie will benefit from ongoing training and is happy to work for treats or praise.
