Posted 6/15/16. Simon is a super cute, super sweet and super smart very energetic miniature poodle who came to us form a local humane society after he was seized from a hoarder who had 82 dogs! Just like all the other pups, Simon was severely neglected and upon arrival at the humane society he looked just pitiful and he would hang his head like he had given up on life. The poor sweetie lived in extremely filthy conditions and when we took him in he was covered with flees and ticks. Thankfully our wonderful veterinarian kept him (and 3 other pups from the same situation) at her clinic for two weeks to make sure he was looked over thoroughly, treated for parasites and undergoing tests and procedures as needed. After two weeks with Dr. Harris, Simon looked like a new dog and was happy happy all over again and was ready to go to his foster home. Simon has recovered very well and is now ready for a loving forever home. His foster dad reports that he is super friendly and sweet, he is very smart and learns quickly. He gets along fine with his two dogs (both are his size and similar breed) and he is always eager to please his person. Foster dad Walt has been working with him on house training and he is teaching him basic commands. Walt says that Simon is a fast learner and will make the right person a wonderful companion. For Simon we are looking for a home where his human(s) can give him a lot of attention and love, lots of exercise and play time, we want a securely fenced in yard and possibly a pup about his size and age to become friends with. Simon is about 3 years old and weighs about 11 lbs. He is neutered, he is current on vaccinations including Rabies, he tested negative for heartworm and he is on heartworm/flea prevention. If you are interested in adopting this sweetie please fill out an adoption application on our web site (an application must be filled out prior to setting up a meeting.) Simon's adoption fee is $200.
