Hi, I'm Comet!  I'm a very soft, fluffy, 4-year-old male who loves spending time with humans. Adults or older children would be my ideal companions, and I prefer to be the only cat in the house.  I use my litter box like a champ, don't meow much and am an all-around, super-chill, indoor cat.  I need a loving home to curl up in and want YOU to adopt me!

I am a proud cancer-survivor with a second chance at life and believe the motto "No One Fights Alone!"  Every time I look out the window at the beautiful birds chirping, I remember the good ol' days when I used to ambush them.  Boys will be boys, and I do like rambunctious play time.   (I can't be outside at all because sunlight is not good for my skin.  I was out on that shady deck only so my great foster dad could take some photos that show how handsome I am.)

If you adopt me (you're going to... right?), I'd simply love to be part of what's going on around your house.  Whether that's relaxing on the couch with you, lazing on the floor watching you cook in the kitchen, sleeping in a nook out of sight or following you around the house while you do stuff.  My special trick is rolling around on my back.  Really, I do it a lot.  PLEASE ADOPT ME, and I'll show you!!!  Contact my foster parents today, so they can tell you even more about me!

All Brother Wolf animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption (if species appropriate).
Application and counseling is required prior to all adoptions.

Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.

About Brother Wolf Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue is known for their excellence in matching people with the best dog or cat that would suit their lifestyle. Today we are proud to have the largest NO-KILL shelter in Asheville. Brother Wolf Animal Rescue was established in 2006. We started off as a very small group of people, taking dogs and cats from gassing shelters in GA. We found wonderful homes for these animals but realized while we were saving these particular animals, we had a much bigger problem in our community that we needed to face. Perfectly healthy, highly adoptable animals in our community are being euthanized every day. Rescued pets are not broken or damaged goods. They are wonderful animals who have ended up homeless through no fault of their own.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our facility is located at 31 Glendale Avenue in Asheville, off Swannanoa River Rd, 1/2 mile from Lowe's. Open every day.

Our Adoption Process...

All adoptions will require a contract and discussions with one of our adoption counselors. Based on the needs of the particular animal, we reserve the right to require a home visit at the discretion of the adoption counselor. All our animals will be altered before adoption and up-to-date on standard vaccinations. We do collect an adoption fee.
