Zesty is a 9 year old dachshund mix. She and 8 other dogs came to us on June 1 from another rescue. Before going into that rescue, she was found as a stray and turned into a shelter. She is mainly black with some white and brown. She is very sweet and friendly and loves to sit in your lap. She also likes to climb up on things to watch the world go by, as you can see in the vid- one day she thought that a basket up on a counter would be a great bed! She'd be a great companion dog. She has been getting along well with the other dogs here. Does very well on a leash and enjoys walks. Unknown if she's housetrained.
She was at a big adoption event at the Pomona Fairplex on January 7 and was perfectly behaved. She never barked and let everyone come up to her and pet her.

For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section where very thorough instructions await. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, micorchipped, and fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.
The beauty of coming to our Apple Valley sanctuary is that you can see all 90+ dogs! No more weekend mobiles—only special events. Maybe if there are enuff appointments, we could see you in El Monte or Orange County or nearby. Email your application and ask for more details!
Beagles & Buddies must find ways to raise money so we can continue saving dogs. Your tax-deductible donation keeps our rescue kennel operating!

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply.
