My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bonny looks like she has some wire hair dachshund and terrier in her. She is approx 4 years old and 14 lbs. Bonny was rescued from a high kill shelter from the euthanasia list. She had heart worms and was pregnant! She had 6 little pups that have all been weaned. She is a sweet girl, very smart, seems to be pretty well house trained, does pretty well on a leash and gets along well with the other dogs. She does not like anyone putting their head in her food bowl while she is eating. She will be a great companion for someone. Bonny has now been spayed. She has also had all of her shots and been treated for heart worms with the required series of injections. She is also on a monthly heart worm preventative.

The total adoption donation of $475 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. .

Just as a note, if you are in Massachusetts and are adopting directly from Texas rather than from a local foster, there are new quarantine laws in effect. All rescues must be quarantined 48 hours at a state run facility, and in addition, a second interstate health certificate is required to be issued by a Massachusetts vet. This new law adds an additional cost of $125.
